Should I register a public computer at a library or a shared workstation?

It is recommended that you only register machines that you have complete control over.  In cases like these, it is best to just answer the Challenge Question to insure the safety of your information.

What if I don’t want to continue answering the Challenge Questions each time I log on?

To avoid answering the Challenge Questions on any personal and trusted machine, it is recommended that you follow the steps to register any and all PC’s you use regularly to login to Internet Banking.

What if I answer a Challenge Question       incorrectly on an unregistered machine?

If you are trying to log in from an unregistered       machine, you will be prompted to answer a Challenge Question.  If you answer it correctly, you will be    allowed to access your account.  If you do answer it correctly, you will be presented with another randomly generated question.  If you continue to answer     incorrectly, you will be locked out of the system and will be required to contact the Bank to unlock your account.

Is there a way to remove Enhanced Login    Security (ELS) from my computer?

Yes. Log in to your Internet Banking account and select the Customer Service tab.  From the menu on the right, select Challenge/Response Questions.  On the page that appears, select “No, is a shared/public computer” and click Submit.  This will un-register that particular machine.

Note: Removal of ELS will cause you to have to   answer a Challenge Question each time you log in from this computer.

Is there a way to change the previously        submitted answers to my Challenge Questions?

Yes. Log in to your Internet Banking account and select the Customer Service tab.  From the menu on the right, select Challenge/Response Questions.  On the page that appears, make any of the appropriate changes to each question then hit the Submit button.  This will change your answers.

Will the answers to be Challenge Questions be case-sensitive?  Will the answers be recognized if they are close?

The answers to the questions are case-sensitive in the sense that when prompted again, they require you to enter them exactly as you originally typed them.  For example, if you chose the question, “What is the name of your first pet?”, the system would accept either “Dog”, “DOG” or “dog”.  However, when you are asked to answer that question again, you are required to type it exactly as you entered it.  If you typed “DOG”, the system will not accept “dog” or “Dog” and vice versa.

I registered a computer that I use, however, it is again asking me to answer the Challenge Questions.  Did it become unregistered?

The way the registration works is by using cookies.  A cookie is an encrypted file that contains information used by various services.  However, if you delete your cookies, you will un-register your PC and will be required to enter the answer to a Challenge Question each time you log in until you re-register it.

Depending on how your browsers configured, it may be automatically set to delete cookies when you exit.  Also, certain spyware cleaner programs may be set to delete cookies.  The best way to solve this is to    simply re-register the PC.
